- I am a husband-I have been so for 17 years now. We have had lots of peaks and lots of valleys but in the end we come out together and that's a good thing.
- I am a father-I have been so for 14 years. I have a daughter who is 14 and a son who is 11. They are by far my greatest accomplishment yet. I am not sure that I will ever do anything that will top fatherhood.
- I am a salesman-I have been so for about 4 years off and on. I love doing it despite some of the negative connotations that go with that job title. To tell the truth about 99% of us are really just trying to provide for our families and are pretty good people even though some think we are dishonest crooks.
- I am a brother-I am the oldest of three so I suppose I have been a brother most of my life. I have one brother that I have a very strained relationship with and we haven't spoken in 5 years or so. I am really closer to my baby brother but we both lead busy lives and live 3 hours apart.
- I am a son- I have been so my whole life. My family was/is far from Leave it to Beaver. My father passed away when I was 27 and I have some regrets that we really only developed a decent relationship in the last 4 years of his life. My mother lives close to my youngest brother and we really don't speak that often.
- I am a want to be writer-I been so all my life. I guess one of my greatest dreams is to be a writer. I have always written in one form or another. I wrote a ton of short stories when I was a kid. I went thru a poetry phase as well. I often toy with the idea of writing a novel but I am not sure I have the time or patience for that.
So, just a small glimpse into who I am. I am pretty sure I am a lot more complicated that what I have managed to put down here, but it is a start.
